Faithful Refuge – Running to God in Brokenness

Running to God in Brokenness

When people attack us and cause hurt and brokenness, especially when it comes from someone close, like a friend or loved on, the Bible encourages believers to seek God for strength, guidance, and protection. Verses like those in Psalms 27:2-3

2.) When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

3.) Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

and Psalms 35:1-3

1.) (A Psalm of David.) Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.

2.) Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help.

3.) Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.

highlight trusting in God’s power and His judgment of those who oppose them. Additionally, Romans 12:19-21 advises against personal vengeance, urging instead to show love and rely on God’s justice. We run to the loving arms of the Lord, our Faithful Refuge
